Privacy and Your Data
Just as we favor household hardware that runs locally without unnecessary cloud telemetry, we run nordicgadgettrelum.buzz with the smallest possible data footprint. This page explains what limited technical data is processed when you read our site or write to our editorial desk.
1. Data Controller
The controller responsible for personal data under the EU/EEA General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Norwegian Personal Data Act (Personopplysningsloven) is:
Trelum Teknisk Redaksjon AS
Org. no. 928 441 703
Schweigaards gate 34C, 0191 Oslo, Norway
Email: [email protected]
2. Browsing the Publication
Our website consists of static HTML, CSS, and client-side JavaScript files. We do not require user accounts, we do not run behavioral advertising networks, and we do not sell or rent reader lists. Standard web server access logs record temporary technical metadata necessary to deliver pages securely and mitigate distributed denial-of-service attacks (IP address, request timestamp, requested path, and HTTP user-agent string). Server logs are rotated and purged automatically within 14 days under GDPR Article 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest in operational security).
3. Client-Side Correspondence Tool & Direct Emails
The interactive correspondence composer on our Contact page executes strictly inside your local web browser memory. Typing into that tool does not transmit keystrokes or form entries to our server. If you choose to email us directly at [email protected], we process your email address, name, and message contents solely to respond to your inquiry or evaluate your hardware observation (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f)). Editorial correspondence is reviewed annually and deleted when no longer needed for archival verification.
4. Local Storage & Cookies
We do not use third-party tracking cookies. Where browser storage (such as localStorage or essential preference cookies) is used to remember your site consent choices, that data stays on your device. For full details, please read our Cookie Choices page.
5. Your Rights Under EEA Law
You have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of any personal data we hold about you (such as past email correspondence), as well as the right to restrict or object to processing. To exercise these rights, write to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) or the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
